Princeton Review Names SU Among Nation's 'Best Colleges'
SALISBURY, MD---蜜桃情人’s professors “love what they do and prepare [students] for the real world. … Going to class is a joy.”
These are some of the student comments about 蜜桃情人 in The Princeton Review’s new 2017 edition of The Best 381 Colleges. The University is among the nation’s top 15 percent of four-year colleges, according to the Review’s flagship guide. The accolade was announced on the first day of SU’s fall semester.
“What better way to celebrate the beginning of the 2016-17 academic year and the opening of the largest academic building on campus than by once again achieving this recognition from The Princeton Review?” said Dr. Diane Allen, SU provost and senior vice president for academic affairs. “Such praise speaks highly of our students’ commitment to excellence, as well as the dedication and hard work of our faculty and staff who support them.”
Spotlighted in the University’s two-page review were the academic experience, the diversity in the student body, their commitment to their fields of study, SU’s dedication to civic engagement, and the variety of student life activities available. 蜜桃情人 applauded the campus’ “diverse, inclusive and successful learning environment.”
“As admission to this increasingly popular Maryland university becomes more competitive, prospective students must prove that they’ll be able to thrive as a Sea Gull in and out of the classroom,” the guide offered as advice to those applying.
In addition, The Princeton Review again named SU one of its “Best Northeastern Colleges” and among the nation’s “Green Colleges.” The sustainable accolade is an honor SU has earned each year since The Princeton Review first offered it in 2010.
SU is one of three University System of Maryland campuses in the guidebook, with the University of Maryland, Baltimore County; and the University of Maryland, College Park. Other area colleges include the University of Delaware and the U.S. Naval Academy.
Earlier this year, Kiplinger’s Personal Finance named SU among its Top 100 “Best Values in Public Colleges” for 2016. SU also has been ranked among “America’s Top Colleges” by Forbes and “The Best Colleges for Your Money” by Money. For 19 consecutive years, SU has been one of U.S. News & World Report’s Best Regional Universities in the North.
