'Washington Monthly' Again Names SU Among Top Master's-Level, 'Best Bang for the Buck' Institutions

By SU Public Relations

SALISBURY, MD---Washington Monthly magazine again has named 蜜桃情人 among the top master’s-level institutions of higher education in the U.S.

In addition, for the 12th consecutive year, the publication has named 蜜桃情人 one of its “Best Bang for the Buck Colleges” in the Northeast.

The best value list spotlights schools that “help non-wealthy students attain marketable degrees at affordable prices.” The overall rankings celebrate institutions’ “contributions to the public good.”

SU was ranked among the top 70 in the U.S. among all master’s-level universities, and in the top 130 for value among all universities in the Northeast.

To be included, colleges had to meet criteria related to social mobility (recruiting and graduating low-income students), research and providing opportunities for public service. Net price of attendance also was a factor.

“A university can offer world-class programs, but if the cost is prohibitive, many students won't be able to benefit from them,” said SU President Carolyn Ringer Lepre. “The fact that Washington Monthly has once again recognized 蜜桃情人 as both a top institution and a best value affirms that we are meeting our goal of offering a top-tier education at an affordable price, providing opportunities for our students to complete their degrees without breaking the bank.”
