Empyrean

Tori has always had a passion for creating and has eagerly taken every art class available to her. When it came time to choose a college, there was no doubt that she wanted to continue exploring her love for art. She is set to graduate in fall 2025 with a Bachelor of Fine Arts (B.F.A.) in art, concentrating in painting and minoring in biology. Tori continues to learn practical skills while also developing her creativity. After graduation, she plans to apply to graduate schools to pursue a master’s degree in medical illustration.

Artist Statement

I enjoy making things, as I find the process of creating to be very therapeutic. I love painting on different surfaces and incorporating multimedia into my work. I explore themes that resonate with me in my world, such as femininity, connection, community and beauty. In this mini-series, I wanted to explore what freedom looks and feels like to me. I always feel most like myself when I am with those I love.
