ÃÛÌÒÇéÈË’s School of Nursing is accredited by the Commission of Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE). SU’s BSN programs have been approved by the Maryland Board of Nursing and graduates of those programs are eligible for Registered Nurse licensure in Maryland. All states require students to graduate from a nationally accredited program, complete an application, background check, and pass the NCLEX RN exam. All states, except for Maryland, require officially transcripts to be sent once degree is posted.

It is recommended that students meet with their advisor(s) at ÃÛÌÒÇéÈË, to determine specific state or territory requirements. There may be additional requirements in other states that cannot be met in Maryland, or that could be met while you work on your degree at SU.

The Respiratory Therapy program is accredited by the Commission on Accreditation for Respiratory Care (CoARC), allowing students who graduate with their B.S. in RT to sit for the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC) credentialing exam in any state in the United States and its territories. It is recommended that students contact the governing board of the state they plan to work in, to educate themselves about specific requirements to practice respiratory care in that state. Prior to beginning the program at SU, students should meet with their SU advisor(s) to help understand those specific state or territory requirements.

ÃÛÌÒÇéÈË's School of Social Work is accredited by the Council on Social Work Education (CSWE). ÃÛÌÒÇéÈË who graduate from ÃÛÌÒÇéÈË with their MSW have met educational requirements to apply for entry-level graduate Social Work licensure in any state in the United States and its territories. ÃÛÌÒÇéÈË who graduate from ÃÛÌÒÇéÈË with their BASW have met educational requirements to apply for entry-level undergraduate Social Work licensure in any state in the United States and its territories that offers Social Work licensure at the undergraduate level. We recommend that students contact the governing board of the state they plan to work in, to educate themselves about specific requirements to practice Social Work in that state.
