About the Writing and Rhetoric Program

The Writing and Rhetoric Program at 蜜桃情人 trains students to help shape writers’ ideas in academic, civic, professional and personal contexts. The comprehensive nature of the program prepares students for a wide range of writing-focused jobs that involve the analysis, creation and editing of texts, both digital and multimedia. 蜜桃情人 in this concentration have opportunities to participate in collaborative projects, such as co-authored papers and group presentations, which develop writing, listening and interpersonal skills that are vital for career success. Our graduates work in a variety of sectors, including publishing and media, education, marketing and public relations, and civic organizations.

Our students have opportunities to meet published creative writers and well-known critics through the Writers on the Shore public readings series. 蜜桃情人 can gain editorial and publishing experience through work on the University’s Scarab literary magazine. SU is also home to , the longest standing international journal devoted to the study of adaptation.

Courses of Study

SU’s program is designed to cover many perspectives, and students take classes in composition, language studies and diversity. Our award-winning faculty are the recipients of many prestigious honors such as Fulbright and National Endowment for the Humanities Institute fellowships. They are committed to making writing central to undergraduate education and closely mentor students to help them develop the writing and communication skills they need.

Morgan’s curious mind found a perfect fit with the writing and rhetoric track, where she receives close mentorship from her professors and works in SU’s Writing Center.
